I had the same surreal feeling when I came back home from two months in Europe. I remember I was traumatized the first time I went into a grocery store (not to mention Wal-Mart). It's so incredibly difficult to explain to someone, and as I'm sure you've noticed there are few people who even begin to get it. I'm sure it sounds like boasting when you say something like "In Paris..." but it's just too damn cool to keep inside. I was visiting someone in Berlin recently and we got to talking about it, and we determined that it's almost like becoming an alien between two worlds. You'll never be the same, but you're still you. I'm glad to see you took the time to have the experience and took so much away.
